One of the things I enjoy most about watching Emmy Award-winning television host Guy Fieri's highly popular show - Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives - is the enormous diversity of food he showcases that encompasses both local and international cuisines. It's amazing to see how different cultures or even just different regions within a country can sometimes use the same ingredients but produce an astounding variety of unique results. It's the reason why I picked Fieri's quote as the highlight of the day today...Indeed, one can think of cooking and food in general as the "universal language" that we all speak fluently and can understand well regardless of where one comes from. It truly is the thread that unites people and communities all around the world and ultimately connects each one of us together!
