Signature Dish of the Day: Maple-Ginger Roasted Chicken
Signature Dish of the Day: Serving up this incredibly delicious, extremely appetizing, and abundantly flavorful Maple-Ginger Roasted Chicken as our signature dish of the day today! This dish has become one of my all-time favorite chicken recipes and I will unabashedly proclaim that just looking at that picture above makes me instantly salivate and crave this dish 😆. Roasted chicken is definitely not something new in our home menu, but I am always keen on experimenting with different ingredient combinations in order to incorporate bold new flavors that transform simple dishes like this one into a deeply flavorful and truly sophisticated masterpiece! This recipe is the direct product of one such recent kitchen experiment and the resulting delightful meal is one I am truly proud of 😍.
For this recipe, I used a packet of 8 small boneless and skinless chicken thighs. I created a marinade consisting of 1/4 cup of dark color maple syrup, 1/4 cup of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar for balanced acidity, 1 teaspoon of crushed fresh ginger, 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon of salt. I used a mortar and pestle to thoroughly grind the fresh ginger and first mixed all the dry ingredients together before blending them with the wet ingredients. I placed the thawed chicken thighs into a large bowl and drizzled the marinade generously over them, making sure that every piece was well coated with the marinade. I covered the bowl and let the chicken marinate for 30 minutes in the lowest compartment of my refrigerator. I then set my oven to preheat to 375℉ while I waited. The longer the chicken marinates, the stronger the flavor, so I would recommend marinating for even up to 1 whole hour if you can but 30 minutes will do just fine as well. Thereafter, I transferred the marinated chicken thighs into a small baking dish as shown above. I roasted them at 375℉ for 40 minutes uncovered, then broiled for another 5 minutes (under a very watchful eye) to get a beautiful brown sear on each piece. Once done, I served the chicken hot as a main dinner course and paired with a side of baked breaded zucchini fries for a complete dinner meal as captured in the photo below. This dish is amazingly delicious and comes highly recommended...no other words needed! Enjoy 😍😋💖
